First established in 2007, the award-winning Whaka 100 has become the mecca of endurance mountain biking in the Southern Hemisphere. The event has grown to be the most respected and largest cycling event in New Zealand. There is no other mountain bike marathon with the quality and quantity of world-class mountain bike trails, professional delivery and focus on rider experience.

First established in 2018, Run The Forest has become fantastic event over 3,000 participants taking park on an annual basis. For 2025 we're focusing on our fun-seeking trail runners, with a skew to women runners.

The Highlander MTB Challenge by Whaka 100 is many riders gateway into MTB events and the Whaka 100. With three distances, the event provides the perfect place to try out your first event, or test your training ahead of the the Whaka 100.

The Volcanic Epic is a unique mountain bike stage race, held across 200km’s of New Zealand’s spectacular North Island geothermal region. Each day of racing concludes with beers, burgers and beats. The chill post-ride vibe is the ideal place to meet and make friends and regale fellow riders with the day’s adventures over a cold drink.
